1. The Challenge
To win £1,000, participants must be the first person to ski the vertical height of Mount Everest (8,848 metres) non-stop on the Infinity Slope at South Wilts Ski Club.
2. Eligibility
o The competition is open to all skiers.
o Participants under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.
o Only one winner will be awarded the prize.
3. Entry Requirements
o Participants must book an hour session on the Infinity Slope in order to attempt the challenge.
o Attempts must be pre-approved and supervised by a South Wilts Ski Club coach.
o All challenge attempts must be recorded using the Carv app (or a club-approved equivalent) to verify vertical distance and continuous skiing.
o The challenge must be completed in a single continuous session, without stopping for breaks, dismounting the slope, or falling. Any interruption will disqualify that attempt.
4. Prize
o The prize is £1,000 cash awarded to the first individual to complete the challenge under the terms listed.
o If multiple successful attempts are made, the earliest verified attempt will be declared the winner.
o No alternative prize will be offered.
5. Competition Dates
o The challenge opens on 1st July 2025 and closes at midnight on 30th September 2025.
o No entries will be accepted after this closing date.
6. Verification
o All attempts will be verified by South Wilts Ski Club staff.
o The club’s decision on eligibility, performance, and the winner is final and not subject to appeal.
7. Safety & Conduct
o Participants must wear appropriate gear and follow all safety instructions from South Wilts Ski Club staff.
o The club reserves the right to refuse participation if it believes a skier is not fit to complete the challenge safely.
8. Publicity
o By entering, participants agree to have their name, image, and challenge performance used in South Wilts Ski Club’s promotional materials and social media, without additional compensation.
9. General
o South Wilts Ski Club reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or its terms at any time due to unforeseen circumstances.
o Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

- Snow sports are inherently dangerous. You accept the risks and declare that you are medically fit to take part.
- All bookings are for exclusive use of the slope and the instructor by your party only.
- The price is per session not per person. You can share the session between a maximum of two people per half hour of booking.
- You can share a session with someone of a different ability by taking it in turns.
- Tuition and hire of equipment is included in the price of the session.
- The minimum age is five years old for skiing and eight years old for snowboarding.
- The ski hall is kept below 18°C in the summer and above 15°C in the winter. Wear comfortable clothes. We recommend clothing that is flexible and covers the arms and legs.
- The instructor cannot be responsible for supervising any children waiting for a session or spectating.
- All children must have an accompanying adult on the premises for the duration of the session.
- Normally we will allow a maximum of two people on the slope at any one time (excluding the instructor).
- You are welcome to bring spectators, but they should not outnumber the skiers/boarders (except in the case of two parents watching one child).
